Just opened in early 2002, the new border crossing of Vinh Xuong offers an opportunity to explore the low land of the Mekong River from Vietnam to Cambodia. Experience river cruising and rapid photo-shooting amidst the beauty of riverine activities such as floating markets with sellers and buyers bargaining and exchanging goods from their boats, houses-on-stilts along the creeks, floating fishing villages, etc. The trip also takes visitors to the world of spectacular monuments and magical legends of the Angkorian architectural complex. Angkor, the biggest city in the world in the 9th-12th centuries, contains more than 100 monuments, including two dozen major temples. Some of the temples, such as Angkor Wat and Bayon, merit repeat visits at different times of day, as the reflections on their walls and labyrinthine interior spaces are transformed by light.
Day 1: Sai Gon - My Tho - Ben Tre – Can Tho (L)
Leaving Ho Chi Minh City, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields, stopping to see how the rice is cultivated.
On arrival at My Tho, take a leisurely boat trip to Tortoise Island. Then disembark and go for a gentle stroll through the picturesque orchards. Enjoy lunch on the island, followed by a traditional cock fighting display. (Don't worry, the birds won't get hurt on this occasion).
Return to the water for a relaxing rowing boat ride along a small canal, cruising in the shade of the water coconut trees. Learn about bee-keeping in the delta and sip a refreshing cup of honey tea to the accompaniment of traditional Vietnamese folk music.
Then travel the narrow rural road by horse and cart to visit the coconut candy mill to find out how this delicious confectionery is made and sample the finished product. Return by boat to My Tho. Proceed to Can Tho. Free at leisure in the evening.Over night in Can Tho.
Day 2 : Can Tho - Cai Rang - Phong Dien – Long Xuyen - Chau Doc (B/)
Breakfast at hotel. Take a three hour boat trip to visit the Cai Rang & Phong Dien floating markets. Roam into the villages to visit the rice paper mill, the rice noodles. Return to Can Tho. Proceed to Chau Doc via Long Xuyen visit Crocodiel farm. Check in on arrival. Visit the Sam Moutain, the caved pagoda, Enjoy the sunset over the Vietnamese - Cambodian Frontier. Dinner on guests account. Overnight at your proposed hotel in Chau Doc.
Day 3: ChauDoc–PhnomPenh(B)
Breakfast at hotel. Take the morning boat trip to visit the floating fish farm and the floating village. Visit the Cham minority with their traditional weaving village. Change to the speed boat to board to PhnomPenh. Arrive in PhnomPenh around 13h30pm at the Sisowath tourist dock.
DAY 05 SIEM REAP (B)
Breakfast will be served at your hotel. 08:00 Drive out of city to Angkor Thom to discover the impressive Angkor Thom: South Gate of Angkor Thom, the famous Bayon temple – a unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, Baphoun, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of Leper King and Phimean Akas Temple.
15:00 The tour start with the visiting to the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. After that, visit Bakheng Temple and enjoy a romantic sun set view form Bakheng hill.
DAY 06 SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast will be served at your hotel.
Visit Banteay Srei nearly everyone's favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carvings, visit Banteay Samre. Transfer to Siem Reap International airport departure flight. Tour ends.
